Nandan Nilekani on UIDAI and the biometrics battle; 17 crore have enrolled
Nandan Nilekani spoke to NDTV's Sreenivasan Jain on the UIDAI project. He has said that the UIDAI project has its own requirement and relevance, adding that over 17 crore people have enrolled in more than 20,000 locations. He further said that Montek Singh Ahluwalia from the planning commission was earlier skeptical about the project. "But he has now come around to supporting UID," Nilekani said.
