Farmers abandon their cattle after they cease to be of use to them, this has led to the problem of stray cows and bulls roaming the streets of towns and cities across Uttar Pradesh, and other parts of the country as well. A former IPS officer, Shailendra Singh has come up with a solution which he says can solve this problem, as well as prove to be aboon for farmers. Mr Singh has invented with what he calls a Nandi Rath, named after Lord Shiva's mount. The bullock cart type structure has a ramp on which bulls walk, which turns a motor and an alternator to generate electricity. (Video Credit: PTI)
