Nandigram: NHRC slams police
Totally partisan, out of control, facilitator of violence - these are some of the scathing things the National Human Rights Commission said about the police in Nandigram. In a report that analyses what happened in the disturbed villages of Nandigram between January 3 and March 14, 2007, the human rights panel has said the West Bengal Police did everything but prevent the violence in Nandigram.
