"Party Leaders Stood Behind Me, Thank Them," Says Narayan Rane On Arrest
Union minister Narayan Rane -- out on bail after being arrested for his controversial "slap" remark on Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray -- remained defiant today. Citing Mr Thackeray's earlier "will hit with slippers" comment about his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath -- which is being discussed on social media -- he contended that his remark was no different. He also thanked the party leaders who "stood behind him" during the controversy.
