Naroda Patiya left out of Gujarat’s growth story?
Naroda Patiya in Ahmedabad witnessed the worst massacre in the riots of 2002. Officially, 91 people were killed in the course of 48 hours. Unofficially though, the figure stands at 200. A few months ago, former BJP Minister Maya Kodnani was convicted for leading the rioters in this area. And while this has brought some closure for those affected by the violence, residents here are being left out of Gujarat's growth story.
