Navy chief admits to gaps in surveillance
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sureesh Mehta has said that the country needs stronger armed forces and especially Navy because 70 per cent of trade comes from sea. He also admitted that there were gaps in coastal surveillance. He said the present system is fairly good but it is being upgraded.
