Outgoing Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan lashes out at former ally NCP, says unlike Jammu and Kashmir where the alliance broke with the NC, but the Congress did not topple the Omar government, NCP toppled him. Mr Chavan says he expected to be caretaker chief minister, the Governor gave him that assurance, but instead went for an unprecedented President's Rule for 15 days. Mr Chavan claims NCP chief Sharad Pawar conspired to hand over state to PM Narendra Modi for 15 days. On his Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Mr Chavan says that his ambition to be chief minister overshadowed all his good qualities.
