NCTC: Are states putting politics before national security?
The twin blasts in Hyderabad have got the Congress-led government to push once again for the controversial National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) - a body that several states rejected earlier saying it encroached on their powers. The home minister met Mamata Banerjee today and says she is more positive on the idea but the BJP has raised its concerns again and even though the government says it will water down the original proposal, the NCTC may continue to face rough weather.
