Counting of votes was still in the early phase till Tuesday afternoon, but BJP supporters did not hold back with celebrations outside the party headquarters in Patna. They claimed victory as leads from the counting of votes showed BJP as the single largest party in the state. Though crackers were being burst outside ally Janata Dal (United)'s office as well, the Nitish Kumar party has lost seats diminishing the incumbent chief minister's position in the ruling National Democratic Alliance. Many attribute this power shift to former ally Chirag Paswan eating into JDU's votebank. Experts analyse the results.
