NDA Leads In Bihar, INDIA Slowly Catches Up
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Bihar witnessed a fierce battle between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the INDIA bloc. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's switch from the Mahagathbandhan to the NDA added to the intrigue. Exit polls suggested that the NDA was headed to secure over 30 seats, with key contests in constituencies like Saran and Hajipur. In Saran, RJD supremo Lalu Yadav's daughter, Rohini Acharya, faces BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy. Meanwhile, Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan aims to reclaim Hajipur, a seat synonymous with his father's legacy. In 2019, NDA had a clean sweep of the state, winning 39 of the state's 40 seats.
