On March 12 this year, Additional Solicitor General Harin Raval told the Supreme Court that the government had not seen the CBI's status report on the coal scam case, submitted to the court on March 8 in a sealed envelope. But sources have told NDTV that on March 5, Law Minister Ashwani Kumar called CBI Director Ranjit Sinha and other officials for a meeting, where Mr Kumar was allegedly seen writing on the CBI report. Repeated attempts to contact Mr Kumar for his comments have been met with no response.
