NDTV Exclusive: P Chidambaram On Congress Chief Polls, Gandhis and Remote Control
Some 9,500 Congress delegates voted in the Congress presidential polls and among them the first to cast his vote was Congress leader P Chidambaram. NDTV spoke to Mr Chidambaram about the contest between Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor. The election of a new Congress president will not diminish the voice of the Gandhis, Mr Chidambaram said today. But he dismissed what he called the "assumption" that the Gandhis would remote control after a new Congress chief took charge.
