NDTV Reports From War Zone: Israel Expands Ground Offensive In Lebanon
Israel's military said on Wednesday that its troops had "eliminated terrorists during close-quarter encounters and in aerial strikes" over the previous 24 hours, adding that "100 Hezbollah terror targets were destroyed." Aerial bombardments have been going on the Beirut city, confirmed NDTV's Mohammed Ghazali pointing to a strike-hit residential building in the city. Having weakened Hamas, whose unprecedented October 2023 attack on Israel triggered war in Gaza, the Israeli military is now focused on Hezbollah, the Lebanese ally of the Palestinian Islamist group.
