Despite being touted as one of the most mature real estate markets, the procedure to get a project approved in Maharashtra is highly complex and cumbersome. But now, the state is taking a lead from Andhra Pradesh to introduce reforms like online approval of building plans. However, experts do not foresee the system becoming functional anytime soon.
