"Need Prior Ecological Probe": Expert On Infrastructure In Himalayan Region
Amid ongoing rescue operations to take out trapped workers in Uttarakhand tunnel, environmental scientist Ravi Chopra said that there is a "crying need" for undertaking very serious prior ecological and geological investigation before proceeding with infrastrure development in the Himalayan region. Speaking to NDTV, he also said that the climate change is "overtaking" us and we are "not prepared" for it.
