Veteran BJP leader Rameshwar Chaurasia, who switched to Chirag Paswan's LJP on "public demand", is contesting the Sasaram seat where polling is underway in phase 1 of the Bihar elections today. "Needn't a mask when you're by yourself; it is mandatory in polling booths," he told NDTV after casting his ballot, adding that he chose Sasaram because "Nokha has become developed", and he was greatly influenced by Sher Shah Suri, whose capital was Sasaram. "He developed great roads, like the GT Road. No one from Bihar has ruled all of India like that," he said.
