At least 18 people including a Yemeni national, and a child were killed after a plane crashed while taking off from Kathmandu. The Saurya Airlines plane crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as it blazed while taking off on July 24. Latest video showed the moments before the aircraft plunged into the ground and burst into flames in Nepal's capital. The video showed, plane flying a little above the runway and then tilting to its right before it came crashing down. Following the mishap, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said, "the aircraft veered off to the right and crashed on the east side of the runway". Firefighters and security personnel rushed to tragedy site carry out the post-crash operations through the charred remains of plane. The plane, carrying two crew members and 17 technicians, was going for regular maintenance to Nepal's new Pokhara airport. Nepal, which is home to eight of world's 14 tallest mountain peaks have witnessed several airplane crashes in past. (Source: Reuters)
