Nepal's unique New Year celebrations
A town in Nepal does something pretty unique to bring in the new year. There is a face-off between the residents of the northern and southern halves of the town Bhakta-pur in a contest called Bisket Jatra. Hundreds of men on either side try to pull down a giant wooden pole and the winning group gets to offer prayers on priority in the New Year.
