Never Give Up Attitude Got Me Gold: Jitu Rai
Ace shooter Jitu Rai said his 'never give up' eventually helped him win the gold medal at the World Cup on Wednesday. "Even when I was eighth, I did not give up hope. At that time too I was thinking that if I give 100 percent, I can reach the top," Jitu told NDTV. Jitu won the first gold medal for India at the ISSF World Cup at the Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi when he ran away with the 50-metre air pistol event as India finished with a one-two podium finish. The silver went to Amanpreet Singh, who was leading before the last shot but said that his "nerves cost me the gold".
