The Congress today asked the Modi government to respond to new revelations that the Prime Minister had a secret meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at last year's SAARC summit in Kathmandu. The Modi government's SAARC secret has been revealed in the new book 'This Unquiet Land' by NDTV's Barkha Dutt. At the time the government had maintained that there was no Modi-Nawaz meet, apart from the much hyped handshake. But it is has now been disclosed that an hour-long informal and covert meeting between the two PMs did take place. Adding a new twist to the controversy is the revelation that steel baron Sajjan Jindal was a conduit between the two Prime Ministers and facilitated this meeting. Across the border Imran Khan has tweeted, "Shocked by revelation that PM Sharif had held a secret "deniable" meeting with his Indian counterpart PM Modi in 2014 in Kathmandu."
