New Electoral Reality In Kashmir Post Delimitation
This the first major election in Kashmir since revocation of Article 370. Political parties are grappling with reality of new electoral map as the delimitation has drastically redrawn electoral boundaries. These mountains divide one part of Anantnag constituency from other part in Rajouri and Poonch. In between is Shopian district which has been made part of Srinagar parliament seat. So there is complete geographical disconnect.
