Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Saturday slammed the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. "Short sentences that do not explain what they are trying to do. This budget of 2019-20 is a monotonous budget. This is a budget, in which there is no mention of total revenue, total expenditure, fiscal deficit or revenue deficit; Nor has the funds fixed for the scheme like MNREGA, mid day meal and health care," he said.
