The opposition parties in Maharashtra raised questions after a new judge was assigned in the Bombay High Court to hear the petitions in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case, which challenge the discharge of some top police officers. Last evening, Justice NW Sambre was assigned to hear the revision applications, which were being heard by Justice Revati Mohite-Dere. The judge, who had been hearing the case for three weeks, had recently expressed reservations about the prosecution's case.
