New Strains Could Be More Dangerous: Dr Randeep Guleria
Dr Randeep Guleria tells NDTV that the new strains of COVID-19 could cause reinfections, be more transmissible and more dangerous. If India does not go back to aggressive testing, contact-tracing and isolation, the new strains could cause another wave of infections like it has in the western countries. He stresses that herd immunity in India is a myth and thus Covid-appropriate behaviour needs to be maintained.
