Newsprint worth over Rs 3 million were set on fire allegedly by highway extortionists in ethnic violence-hit Manipur. It is a huge loss for local publications in a state already reeling under price rise due to road blockades in the hill areas, sources said, adding the total loss could be well over Rs 3 million too. Visuals show some men in green t-shirt standing beside a truck and the huge burning rolls of newsprint. Sources said the security forces in charge of guarding the road on which the newsprint trucks came have started looking for the accused.
