Nine-year-old hit for asking for food
A nine-year-old girl was allegedly beaten up by her hostel superintendent in Maharashtra's Nanded district after she asked for food. The hostel in-charge, Srinivas Rathod, allegedly did not give food to three girls, including the victim, at the hostel. When she asked him for food, he beat her up with a pipe and locked her up in the toilet. The girl later escaped and went to the police station. A case has been registered against the hostel superintendent who is absconding.
