Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn Arrested, Mahindra-Ford Alliance, Volkswagen Dieselgate
Carlos Ghosn, head of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, has been arrested on corruption and financial misconduct charges. He has been accused of under-reporting his salary. Mahindra will be leading the development of electric vehicles as and when the Mahindra-Ford Alliance starts working in the right earnest. The strategic partnership was announced about eight months ago. Volkswagen has challenged the ruling of National Green Tribunal saying that Volkswagen needs to deposit Rs. 100 crore with the Central Pollution Control Board.
