NIT Silchar Students End Protest Over Student Suicide, Call Off Hunger Strike
The standoff between the students and authorities at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Assam's Silchar over a student suicide finally ended after a week. The students, who had accused the Dean of Academics of abetting the suicide, ended their hunger strike last night after being assured that he will be removed.
