Nitish Kumar and Mulayam Singh Yadav shared the stage at a meeting organised by the Left in Delhi today, brought together by their fierce opposition to the BJP and its presumptive prime minister Narendra Modi. Leaders of 14 political parties, including Mr Kumar's Janata Dal United and Mr Yadav's Samajwadi Party, attended the meeting fueling speculation about a possible re-grouping of a Third Front. Mr Kumar admitted there was much curiosity about this, but would only say, "We are here to fight communalism. Democratic forces should unite as much as possible to defeat fascist forces."
