The next big political earthquake may just be taking place in Bihar. Tomorrow, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to end his alliance with the BJP in the state and form a government with his old allies, the RJD and Congress. He has called a meeting of all JDU MLAs and MPs tomorrow. Things have been shaky in the alliance for some time now and Nitish Kumar has skipped four meetings with central leaders including the Prime Minister since July 17, including the NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi yesterday. Reports say that at tomorrow's meeting of its legislators, the JDU leadership will present MLAs who have reportedly been approached by the BJP to switch sides. The JDU also believes the BJP is disrespecting allies, Nitish Kumar's aides are citing a recent comment by BJP chief JP Nadda, who said, "only the BJP will remain, other parties will disappear". This isn't the first time Nitish Kumar has changed his mind, his political flip flops are infamous now. The RJD has said it is ready to support him if he does break away from the BJP. Meanwhile, the BJP itself is keeping quiet and waiting to see what Nitish Kumar decides.
