No. 1 In India, IIT Madras Aims To Improve Global Ranking

IIT Madras has seen good placements after a slump last year due to the pandemic. Ranked number one among technical institutes in India, the institute is now aggressively promoting international outreach and impactful research to change perceptions in a bid to improve it's global ranking, presently around 250. In an exclusive interview to NDTV'S  Sam Daniel, the new Director Prof V Kamakoti also shares his plans to take start ups to disruptive levels and filling long pending  SC ST  vacancies in faculty positions on what he calls a mission mode.
