No Country for Women and Children?
India has been in the news the world over as a country that has no place for women, Delhi has been tagged as the rape capital of the country. In the last thirty days Indians were shocked to hear the horrific incidents of rape of a toddler, a four-year-old child and a five-year-old child in Delhi. The shock factor comes from the fact that even after a nationwide uproar vis-a-vis the Nirbhaya rape case nothing has changed on the ground. Is it a problem of policing? Will the situation change unless and until there is a change of mindset? Does the real danger emanate from kith & kin? How can we make our cities safer for our children?
