The Enforcement Directorate has argued against grant of bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested March 21 in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam and has moved the Supreme Court challenging his arrest. The court had earlier said it would consider bail to allow the Aam Aadmi Party boss to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha election, in which Delhi will vote on May 25.
" What example are we sitting. Are other people less important than CM? There can't be any deviation only because he is a CM. Are we carving out exception for politicians? Would campaigning for elections be more important?" the ED argued.
