No Lal Battis: End of VIP culture?
From next month, lal battis or red beacons will be banned for everybody including the President, Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of India. This landmark decision was announced after a cabinet meet. What followed was a series of tweets by union ministers and Chief Ministers with #EveryoneVIPinNewIndia trending on social media. Will this see an end to the VIP culture in India?
