No memorial for martyrs post-1947
Despite numerous acts of valour by the Indian Armed Forces in several wars, India does not have a single national memorial honouring the soldiers killed in military operations since 1947. There have been thousands who have died in India's five wars and numerous counter-insurgency operations since 1947.
