"No Pressure From Adani Group": GVK Boss Refutes Rahul Gandhi Charge, Other Top Stories

GV Sanjay Reddy, Vice Chairman of the conglomerate GVK, has strongly denied Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's comments that the Modi government arm-twisted GVK and "hijacked" Mumbai airport from the conglomerate and handed it to the Adani group. "There was absolutely no pressure from the Adani group or anyone else to sell Mumbai airport," Mr Reddy told NDTV today. Adani Airport Holdings Ltd took over Mumbai airport from GVK in July 2021. Rahul Gandhi today launched a sharp attack in parliament on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and billionaire Gautam Adani, whose companies are in the spotlight after US-based short-seller Hindenburg Research alleged stocks manipulation and accounting fraud by the group. Rescuers in Turkey and Syria battled bitter cold Tuesday in a race against time to find survivors under buildings flattened by an earthquake that killed more than 7,800 people. The second of a two-part exam to recruit contract nurses under the National Health Mission in Madhya Pradesh was cancelled hours before it started on Tuesday, after the question paper was found to have been leaked.
