No room for price hikes: Whirlpool
Shantanu Dasgupta, vice president of corporate affairs and strategy of Asia South at Whirlpool, tells NDTV Profit that the March quarter has been extremely challenging with a severe slowdown in consumer demand. He says there is no room for price hikes in the immediate quarter, on account of high inflation and curtailed consumer spending. But he remains optimistic about a gradual improvement in spending, and thereby sales volumes going into the second half of the year.
