One lesser-known aspect of the rail budget is it's allocations for feeding Members of Parliament, taxpayers pay more than Rs 4 crore every year for the Parliament canteen, but very few MPs actually eat there. It is the most elite canteen in the country and serves only the Members of Parliament.
