After the MeToo expose in the Malayalam Film Industry with the Hema Committee Report, a meeting of the women's artistes was convened by the Chairperson Nagalakshmi Choudhary of the Karnataka State Women's Commission. The meeting was held at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) where several attendees were there including actress Tara. She spoke of the complaints raised along with her own concerns.
