The Supreme Court today abruptly adjourned a hearing on exiled CBI Director Alok Verma's petition, furious over what appeared to be leaks from a top secret vigilance report on the CBI chief and also his reply to the court. "None of you deserves a hearing," said Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, deferring the case to November 29. Alok Verma has petitioned the top court against the government's decision to strip him of his powers and send him on compulsory leave. Last week, the Central Vigilance Commission submitted its report on corruption allegations against him. The report was to be taken up today, along with the CBI chief's response to it.
