As people from the North-East were leaving in droves from cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad, Pune saw its police showing great alacrity in reaching out to the affected community. In fact, anxious parents of children studying in the city, an education hub, lauded the police's efforts to make the latter feel secure and restoring confidence in them.
