Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent the first day of his US visit in meeting top industry titans and then the Indian community in the America. While he billed India's business friendly face to the roundtable of 21 CEOs, highlighting reforms like the Goods and Services Tax or GST that would untangle a complex jumble of central and state taxes, to the Indian community he spoke of his government's stain-free reputation and augmented international clout. "Not one country questioned India's surgical strikes (on terror launch-pads across the Line of Control)," he said.
