Not an outsider to people of Amritsar: Arun Jaitley to NDTV
The battle for Amritsar between Arun Jaitley and Amarinder Singh is heating up as the elections approach. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Jaitley, a BJP candidate, rubbished reports that he is being considered an outsider in the city. He also said he has cordial relations with Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has decided against campaigning for Mr Jaitley. Mr Jaitley was picked over Mr Sidhu by the BJP as its candidate from Amritsar. "Sidhu is a good man, but a bit sentimental about this situation. We like each other a lot and have a strong political connection," Mr Jaitley said.
