"BBC is not liked by the Conservative Party in the UK either. This is not the end of press freedom in India," Economics professor Lord Meghnad Desai said on the questionable link between the timing of the tax survey on BBC and its docuseries on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots.
