Four days after he was caught on camera assaulting a municipal officer, BJP legislator Akash Vijayvargiya has walked out of prison on bail. He's unapologetic and unrepentant about the assault and says he did it in public interest. He claims that civic officials were razing houses in good condition so that leaders of the Kamal Nath-led Congress government could take over the land. In response to queries about whether he would take the law into his own hands again, he said, "I pray to god that I should not be given another opportunity to bat." He claimed he will follow the Gandhian path in future.
