Now, Historians Join Campaign Against Growing Intolerance

53 prominent historians, associated with an organisation called Sahmat, have issued a statement against growing intolerance in the country. Six of the signatories are from Kolkata, including Dr Arun Bandopadhyay who has just retired from Calcutta University. He thanked the President Pranab Mukherjee for addressing the issue but the Prime Minister Narendra Modi' stand is wanting, he says.
