Malnutrition in India has been a silent national emergency and with COVID-19 outbreak the struggle with attaining our Nutrition targets will be bigger than ever. Malnutrition contributes significantly to high mortality and morbidity by reducing immunity and thereby increasing the chances of infection. If nutrition and hygiene can begin in every household, a strong foundation for the future health of a society can be laid. In an effort to tackle the issue, RB and Maharashtra Government have joined hands through Nutrition India Programme. The programme has implemented two successful models in the worst affected districts Amravati and Nandurbar in the state.
