Officer Who Led Video Survey In Gyanvapi Mosque Sacked Over Media Leaks
A controversy over filming inside Varanasi's Gyanvapi mosque and whether it illegally changes the character of the place of worship played out in two different courts today - at a civil court in Varanasi that ordered the filming and in the Supreme Court that refused to stay proceedings of the Varanasi court. The Varanasi court though sacked a top official in charge of the filming at the mosque after allegations of leaks to the media.
