Officers happy with approval of Pay Panel
Centre's approval of the Sixth Pay Commission brought jubilation and cheer among the civil servants particularly the IAS officers. Shaktikanta Das is a happy man. This senior IAS officer from Chennai learnt that his gross salary will go up from sixty three thousand rupees to a little over a lakh following the government's acceptance of the Sixth Pay Commission's recommendations. His annual increment too has gone up from 2.5 per cent to 3 per cent.
