India On Omicron Alert After Patient Number 1 "Escaped"

India is on Omicron alert after two cases of the variant were detected in Karnataka. There's also now a police investigation into how patient number one, a South African National, left his Bengaluru hotel with a negative test report from a private lab. Meanwhile, 18 cases are now being tested for Omicron and Genome sequencing is being done.
